11. Kathryn Pierce
Visual Art
Kathryn’s highly-detailed work helps her to process and express her experiences as an autistic person with ADHD. Her ink and acrylic art reveal abstracted and non-objective forms through instinctive and meditative pattern-making.
Automatism and meditation allow Kathryn the freedom to experiment with scale, explore paradoxes, depth, movement, complexity, tension, intensity and resolution. Using abstraction and nonobjective art as a conscious choice, Kathryn’s neuroaffirmative work frees the viewer to explore and find their own connection and meanings. Kathryn is proud to be a member of the NEUK Collective – a community for and of neurodivergent artists across Scotland.
