Grantown Open Studios is an artist-led initiative rooted in collaboration, skill sharing and place. Founded in response to the depth and diversity of creative talent living and working in and around Grantown- on- Spey by contemporary abstract artist Joanna Wilson, the event is co-directed with Park based Designer/Maker Clare Waddle (Yellow Broom) and Grantown Business Association.

Artist-led and locally focused, the weekend supports artists at all stages of their practice while strengthening connections between creativity, community and the local economy. Grantown Open Studios artists open their studio doors, doors that are rarely public facing, to share their work and present a rare behind the scenes insight into their daily practice.

GRANTOWN OPEN STUDIOS values collaboration and works in partnership with organisations that share its commitment to creativity, learning and community wellbeing. Working alongside local businesses and cultural partners, GOS is supported by Grantown Business Association and funded by Cairngorms Trust and the Cairngorms National Park Authority.

GRANTOWN OPEN STUDIOS examples the vital role that culture and creativity play within the Cairngorms National Park.
