02. Jess Greaves
Photography
Her artwork comes from a place of necessity and is created in collaboration with the natural world. Jess dedicates time to explore how she can meaningfully contribute to rich experiences of nature and art in a sustainable and responsible way. Creating photographs that are personal, yet all-encompassing, she seeks a deep nature connection. Her artwork is familiar yet opens doors to a more symbiotic experience within the environment. Its aim is to be healing for its viewers as well as the natural world.
Jess graduated from Lancaster University (Blackpool and The Fylde School of Art) in 2011 with a first class honours in Wildlife and Environmental Photography. She then went on to study for a masters in Wildlife and Landscape Conservation at Sheffield, before making the move up to the Cairngorms National Park in 2013. Jess continued down the conservation career path for a little while, before being pulled back into the creative world.
